2. One thing about many other plugins is that they perform certain SEO tasks such as font decoration each time a visitor loads the page. Easy WP SEO allows server side processing of its SEO tasks to be stored in the database so that the WordPress resources are not taxed as heavily.
3. The ability to evaluate pages for multiple keywords is great because there is no other plugin that can perform this task like Easy WP SEO.
What We Don’t Like
Easy WP SEO..

This means..
ClickBump SEO! doesn’t do automatic keyword decoration or image ALT tag insertion. So if you have an existing site you cannot have these SEO functions applied to exiting posts and pages. You would need to go in and manually do this. If you have a large site with hundreds of posts then this is going to be painful.
ClickBump SEO! does not see the entire HTML document as it appears to search engines and site visitors. If your keywords are in the header, sidebar and footer (which they likely are) then ClickBump SEO! cannot evaluate what it cannot see. It also lacks the ability to analyze content against multiple keywords which is something you miss when you’ve already used a plugin like Easy WP SEO.
After 6 months of owning the plugin, you will have to pay for updates. Hopefully the developer changes this.
The Bottom Line
ClickBump! SEO is a powerful SEO plugin that operates very similar to Easy WP SEO while lacking in a few areas as detailed above. The primary strength of the plugin is it’s ability to use LSI keywords to strengthen the SEO relevancy of your content. This enables your posts and pages to rank very well with ClickBump! SEO. If you LSI as the “missing link” within your SEO strategy then this may be the plugin for you. If the features it lacks are those you just can’t live without then you may be better off with Easy WP SEO or WP SEO Beast.

What it Does
WP SEO Beast does the following:
- Visually rates yours posts on a scale of 0/10 – 10/10
- Automatically optimizes your titles, image ALT tags, H1, and H2, H3, Tags
- Automatically bolds, underlines and italicizes your primary keywords
- Analyzes content length, keyword density and keyword placement
- Improves your pages/posts SEO score by showing which onpage factors need more optimization
- Provides an option to enter meta description, keyword tags, and the title tag
- Can rewrite page and post titles using template tags
- Has mobile device detection and mobile theme
How it Works
WP SEO Beast works similar to other SEO plugins in that the Visual Scoreboard will rate each post from 0-10 against your primary keyword and make suggestions on how to improve it’s score. It also provides an LSI keyword option to find semantically related keywords on the next tab. It does a pretty good job of displaying the ideal keyword density and other on-page optimization factors.
As you can see my page is optimized 6.8/10 for the keyword SEO (below).
Your goal is to simply get your post as close to 10/10 as possible.
WP SEO Beast also comes with other nice options such as the ability to control the Meta description of posts, keyword options and Page Title rewrites (below).
By using these widgets within the plugin you can eventually create highly optimized post content. The other manual SEO tasks such as font decoration, image ALT tags, title and header tags are all taken care of for you. So where does this plugin go wrong? Read further below..
What We Like
WP SEO Beast’s

What We Don’t Like
WP SEO Beast..
- Option to enter meta, keyword and title tags conflicts with certain themes (Thesis, etc) and plugins (Yoast, Platinum SEO, etc)
- Doesn’t analyzes the whole HTML document (sidebar, header and footer content), only the post/page content
- Performs SEO tasks like keyword decoration on the fly when visitors reach your pages which may hamper site performance
- Mobile theme has no true SEO benefit
- Does not accurately detect true keyword density as Easy WP SEO does
This means..
You’re going to have conflicts with WP SEO Beast using themes that have their own SEO functionality built-in or if you already have free basic plugins installed. WP SEO Beast will only recognize the meta tags it creates, and cannot see them if they are entered in by any other theme or plugin. You are essentially forced to use it’s meta tags and if you uninstall it then you will have to re-enter them into the next tool manually.
WP SEO Beast does not see the entire HTML document as served to your visitors and search engines. Therefore if your keywords appear in the header, sidebar and footer (which they likely do) then the plugin does not give an accurate evaluation of keyword density.
SEO tasks such as keyword decoration are performed when each visitors loads your page content and not stored permanently in the database. This can slow down the performance of your WordPress site.
The Bottom Line
WP SEO Beast at the core is a very good plugin, but it’s shortcomings are something to seriously consider when weighing it against others such as Easy WP SEO. One of the most serious offenses is that the license terms restrict the plugin’s use to one IP address. That won’t be an issue if all of your sites are hosted on a single IP, but if your sites have unique IP’s or if have sites on different hosting providers then you’ll have to buy the plugin for every unique IP.
You can overcome this by purchasing a developers license for $97, but even then you’ll be restricted to only 5 unique IP’s.
If this is an issue that you can’t get past then refer back to Easy WP SEO or ClickBump SEO! If not, then you can still enjoy WP SEO Beast on one IP.
